Tatiana first approached me after seeing her friend's photos on the FocusTree blog. She was looking for a photographer who could capture her true personality and vibrant spirit. The only caveat is that the photos had to be taken before her next round of chemotherapy. The photos would be sent to her family back in Russia so that everyone could see that she was doing well. It was important for me to show her courage, her compassion, as well as her passion for life, in the photos. After meeting with Tatiana and seeing her wonderful personality, I knew there wouldn't be a problem in capturing those characteristics. We took a dozen photos at her home and spent the next hour or so taking photos at a neighborhood park. The photos captured her personality beautifully.
